Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Daniel Haughton shot to fame in 1994 after the release of her first album Age Ain't Nothing but an Numer. She was only 15 at that time, and the album became Gold. This collaboration was highly inspired by R. Kelly, and put the singer on the map. The year 1996 saw her release her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the hit number one single If Your girl only knew. Following the release of this work Aaliyah gained international attention as an R&B artist. Aaliyah starred alongside the legendary Jet-Li, the famous martial artist in Romeo Must Die (2000) the action and romance film. Joel Silver, a film producer who was at an awards show at the time she landed the role and spotted her. The film she was in was the film based on Anne Rice, a vampire movie Queen of the Damned, that came out in 2002. The year 2003 saw her was in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. The singer was awarded four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is the first generation Indian-American who was born and raised in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann originates from her husband's name Mankad. She uses Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for her professional name. Though her first career was dominated by minor movie and TV parts, she gained notoriety in the late 2000s. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. In addition, she was a part of several commercials, including Volvo and other major automobile companies. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her daughter and husband.
