Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to notoriety after she released her first album Age Ain't Nothing But an Number in 1994. The album was Gold in the year she turned just 15 years old. The collaboration that influenced R. Kelly's music, made her a star. In 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It featured If Your Girls Only Knew, the top-selling single. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. Aaliyah starred alongside the famous martial artist Jet-Li Romeo Must Die (2000) the action and romantic film. Her role came about after being spotted by producer Joel Silver at an awards show. She was a part of the Anne Rice-based vampire film Queen of the Damned, it premiered in 2002. Then she was introduced to the Matrix with her role as Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also been in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. The actress lives in Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and is continuing to develop her acting profession.
