Aaliyah Dana Haughton burst into fame in 1994, after she dropped her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than A Number. At the age of 15, the album achieved Gold recognition. R. Kelly was a significant influence in this project which put the singer into the spotlight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland for her second studio album One In A Million, featuring the number one hit song If Your Girl only knew. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B songs with the album. She appeared alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the 2000 action-romance film Romeo Must Die. She got this role following an interview with director Joel Silver at an awards ceremony. She was a part of the vampire film that was based on Anne Rice Queen of the Damned, it premiered in 2002. After that, she entered the Matrix by playing Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also been in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. The singer has received four Grammy nominations between 1999 and 2003. She is of Indian origin and was born in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation of her husband's final name Mankad. Aarti is the combination of Aarti and Aarti. Majumdar. Her acting career began in mid-2000's with minor appearances on television and in films. Some of her other notable work comprise Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She also appeared in several commercials that included Volvo and many other major car brand names. The actress currently resides with her family in Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting profession.
